Dogtown Ink

My satire newspaper / subculture reader / local guide, Dogtown Ink, with its additional guide to the architectural lab that is Venice, CA, earned the loyalty of thousands of readers and the attention of several large media organizations (amid their rush to go local).

With the exception of the occasional piece by a contributor, I created all the content: articles, photographs, video clips and all copywriting. (Dogtown Ink is no longer publishing.)

I’d written Paris Hilton’s Tax Cut as political satire and was planning a video for it when John McCain conveniently equated Barak Obama with Paris Hilton…at which point I threw together this clip of “borrowed” footage and posted. The clip got a fair amount of play on Huffington Post.
